Back in January 2025, Miguel Almiron finally Newcastle United

The winger agreeing a permanent move to Atlanta United.

A day short of six years since he arrived at St James’ Park, Miguel Almiron returning to the MLS club.

The usual ‘undisclosed fee’ in the official Newcastle United announcement but Sky Sports had earlier reported it to be £8m plus £3m in future add-ons.

At the time, Miguel Almiron posted an emotional farewell message (see below) the the Newcastle United fans.

Now Miggy has posted another emotional message to Newcastle United and the fans.

Via Instragram, the former NUFC player having received his Carabao Cup winners medal.

Miggy appeared in four of the Carabao Cup matches last season, starting against Forest and AFC Wimbledon, then coming off the bench against Brentford and Arsenal (first leg at The Emirates).

Via his personal social media, Miguel Almiron has posted this emotional farewell message to the Newcastle United fans – 31 January 2025:

“The time has come for me to say goodbye – to all of you and to a club with such an incredible history as Newcastle.

“I’ll always be grateful to the club for giving me the chance to play in the best league in the world, making a childhood dream come true.

“I leave with so many amazing memories wearing this shirt, alongside my teammates, the staff, the directors, and of course, the incredible fans I’ve had the privilege to share this journey with over the years.
