According to The Star, the Owls are open to offers worth between £750,000 and £1 million amid uncertainty over the youngster’s future.

The 20-year-old has contributed two goals from 26 appearances in the Championship so far this season, with financial issues hampering the Yorkshire outfit.

Henrik Pedersen’s side are all but guaranteed to suffer relegation to League One this campaign, having been deducted a total of 18 points by the EFL.

Cadamarteri has a contract with Sheffield Wednesday until the summer of 2028, but an exit before the 2 February transfer deadline could yet be on the cards.

It’s understood that there are a number of Championship and League One sides interested in signing Cadamarteri this January.

Millwall are reportedly leading the pursuit of the forward, but they face competition from the likes of Blackburn Rovers, Swansea City, Charlton Athletic and Stoke City. The Lions, though, are said to be readying a bid.

Luton Town, Wycombe Wanderers and Mansfield Town are all also interested in signing the youngster.

Sheffield Wednesday are open to offers worth around £750,000 and £1 million at this stage, as they await ratification of the takeover led by James Bord.

Hibernian also remain keen on the striker after previously seeing a lowball offer rejected earlier this month.

It remains to be seen whether anyone is willing to meet the Yorkshire outfit’s asking price at this stage, with clubs looking to take advantage of the financial situation at Hillsborough.

The consortium led by Bord was named as the preferred bidder on 24 December, but the EFL have yet to ratify the deal, leaving the club in limbo for the time being.

Next up for Pedersen’s side is a home clash against Birmingham City on Tuesday evening in a 7.45pm kick-off.

Sheffield Wednesday will have a hard time holding onto Bailey Cadamarteri

The number of clubs eyeing Cadamarteri this January is quite long, so it will be tricky for the Owls to fend all of them off.

Given he’s been valued between £750,000 and 1 million, that is a figure that a number of Championship sides could be tempted to move for.

The 20-year-old has already earned plenty of experience at this level considering his age, and he has performed well in a struggling team this season.
