Real Madrid right-back returns to Anfield for the first time since his headline making summer move

"Mixed feelings" — Trent opens up ahead of Anfield return
Trent Alexander Arnold has spoken emotionally ahead of his long awaited return to Anfield insisting he will "always love Liverpool" regardless of how supporters react when Real Madrid visit on Tuesday night in Champions League group stage.
The 27 year old joined Madrid earlier this year after nine senior seasons with Liverpool.
He is expected to feature in Xabi Alonso’s squad for matchday 4 having recovered from hamstring injury that sidelined him for several weeks.
"Liverpool are massive club — that’s clear. I always knew the day would come when I’d play against them. I’ve got mixed feelings; it will be tough but I’m excited for it"
He confirmed he will not celebrate if he scores, adding:
"The fans will decide how they welcome me. Whatever happens, I’ll always love the club. I’ve always been Liverpool supporter and I’ll forever be grateful for the opportunities and memories we shared"
Alexander Arnold rose through Liverpool’s academy and became one of the defining full-backs of the modern era helping the Reds win:
