Mohamed Salah has apologised to Liverpool’s dressing room after making harsh remarks about the club and head coach Arne Slot, according to team-mate Curtis Jones.

"His anger was never intended to affect the team, the staff, the coach or anyone else." He was speaking to Sky Sports.

"Either way, we are past that now. We are a good team, we are playing well and we are starting to win matches."

The Egypt forward was left out of the Champions League match against Inter Milan on 9 December, which finished 1-0.

He was then reinstated for the Premier League fixture against Brighton in matchweek 16, which ended 2-0.
