Mohamed Salah’s situation at Liverpool has dominated the Premier League news agenda for the last few days. 

The experienced forward gave a bombshell interview following the Reds’ 3-3 draw with Leeds United, accusing the club of ‘throwing him under the bus’.

He also claimed that his relationship with manager Arne Slot has collapsed. According to The Athletic, there are two primary reasons for Salah’s petulant outburst.

Salah either wants to force a move out of Liverpool or put pressure on Slot, who is already facing scrutiny following a poor start to the season. 

The Merseyside titans do not want to sell the 33-year-old, but things could change if he refuses to toe the line.

Saudi Arabia is prepared to do ‘whatever it can’ to bring Salah to the Middle East in the winter transfer window. 

Major League Soccer could be another destination for the winger, with commissioner Don Garber a huge admirer of him. 

Meanwhile, Spain and Italy also remain viable options for Salah. 

However, everything depends on the Egyptian international. He could apologise for his behaviour and make peace with Liverpool. 

Alternatively, if he remains intent on leaving Anfield, the club will have no choice but to sell him in the winter transfer window.
