And given the crop of young talents now shining in the youth teams, across all age groups, the future is only bright.

Destiny Kosiso the next big thing?

One such name in the Barcelona ranks who is already making waves at the tender age of 11 years is Destiny Kosiso.

Indeed, as reported by MARCA, the La Masia forward, born in 2014, is already drawing comparisons to Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal thanks to his exploits at the youth level.

After all, the 11-year-old forward has taken Barcelona’s academy by storm with a staggering scoring record.

Last season, Kosiso netted 87 goals in 22 matches with the U-10s and added 58 goals in 30 games for the U-11s.

Now, playing at the Alevín level (U-12s), he has already hit 31 goals in 14 matches this term, making it more than 180 goals.

Destiny Kosiso is the son of former Nigerian footballer Ejike Paschal, and two of his brothers, David Obinna, 16, and Divine Ikenna, 15, have played for Barcelona. The former is now at UE Cornella while the latter continues at La Masia.

As per the report, super-agent Pini Zahavi, who also represents Barcelona superstar Robert Lewandowski and manager Hansi Flick, has taken charge of the youngster’s career – indicating the promise and potential he possesses.
