Moussa Niakhaté returned to Lyon duty on Sunday at Metz after Senegal’s Africa Cup of Nations triumph, days after a triumphant welcome in Décines.
According to Le Progres, the centre-back resumed training only on Friday following the victory with the national team.

A pillar of Senegal’s success, the 29-year-old from Roubaix has been widely celebrated since returning to France.
At Décines he received a vibrant tribute from team-mates, coaches, staff and club officials.
After several days of festivities back home, he reflected on the achievement as he rejoined the squad for the Metz trip.
