Muniain reunites with Lezama alumnus as Salamanca UDS sign Luis Bilbao | OneFootball

According to El Correo, Muniain is shaping Salamanca UDS’s Segunda RFEF project with Lezama in mind, and the recently announced signing of Luis Bilbao, born 24 March 2003, brings the pair back together.

The Berango winger shared dressing rooms and training sessions with Muniain at Athletic during his development, he earned senior call-ups and stood out with the B team.

Before Ernesto Valverde’s spell, he was named in three matchday squads under Marcelino, two in the league and one in the cup.

He later featured in five friendlies for the first team with Valverde as head coach, but the left-footed winger has yet to make an official appearance.

His pathway included loans at Cultural Leonesa and Barakaldo in Primera RFEF, plus a stint with Ceuta’s reserves. He now arrives at the Helmántico to become a pillar of the team in Segunda RFEF alongside a familiar face.
