Napoli accelerating move for Udinese’s Oumar Solet | OneFootball

Serie A side Udinese have seen Oumar Solet get linked with clubs in Italy and England but it seems as if Napoli are trying to beat competition for the Frenchman.

Solet had joined Udinese on a free transfer only in January as he had his RB Salzburg contract termination after the summer transfer window in 2024 slammed shut. He has now impressed for Udinese and is attracting clubs’ attention.

Luca Marchetti from Sky Italia has spoken to Radio Marte about the defender’s situation and he revealed that Napoli are trying to accelerate their move and they want to quickly potentially seal their move for the centre-back.

He said, via AreaNapoli: “It’s not just Napoli, he’s a player who, if he continues like this, will be at the centre of the summer market and Udinese won’t sell their jewel at a low price, but Napoli intends to find an agreement to beat the fierce competition : however, he’s not the only name for the defence.”

The indication is that Udinese value the player at around €20 million and they are already keen on earning a major capital gain from his sale in the summer, with West Ham and Manchester United also mentioned as interested parties over the last few days.

Solet impressed for the Friulians in the game against Inter, scoring a screamer and putting in a good defensive performance.
