Nice supporters have been barred from travelling to Saint-Étienne for Tuesday’s L1-L2 play-off first leg, which kicks off at 20:45.

According to L'Équipe, a ministerial decree bans any presence of Aiglons fans in and around Geoffroy-Guichard to reduce the risk of clashes.

Separately, the LFP has ordered the return match at Allianz Riviera to be played behind closed doors after a pitch invasion at the end of the regular season finale against Metz, which finished 0-0.

Nice have appealed against that decision.

The outcome is uncertain, with violent incidents having broken out between Nice ultras and Paris supporters on the night before the Coupe de France final between the Gym and Lens, which ended 1-3.
