Lamine Yamal was once again one of Spain’s best performers as they completely dismantled the Bulgarian defence on Thursday night.

The Barcelona attacker registered an assist and was a livewire throughout the game and even registered an assist for his troubles.

However, what was particularly concerning however, is how Yamal was taken off at the 79th minute, as he was replaced by Jesus Rodriguez.

The Barça winger, who is one of the favourites to win the Ballon d’Or this month, was seen pointing towards his lower back, which was followed by the substitution

Yamal picks up back pain but should be fine

According to Diario SPORT, Yamal was substituted as the youngster had picked up a back pain during the game against Bulgaria.

It was largely a false alarm and there is nothing to worry about, as far as Barcelona are concerned. Yamal was only suffering from discomfort.

That means the Spanish international should be ready to start the next game against Turkiye, which is going to be an important one for La Roja.

For the time being, Yamal is expected to take a breather and recover. What is encouraging is that the Spain team is taking full precaution as far as the health of the Barcelona winger is concerned.

Yamal, therefore, will have ample time to not only recover but also gear himself up for the Turkiye clash, where he will be up against an in-form Real Madrid playmaker, Arda Guler.
