Nottingham Forest player ratings as Milenkovic and Williams shine in 3-0 win at Spurs | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest boosted their survival hopes with a 3-0 victory at Tottenham, Igor Jesus, Morgan Gibbs-White and Taiwo Awoniyi on target in north London.

Spirits were high after reaching the Europa League quarter-finals in midweek, and, according to Nottingham Post, this felt a six-pointer with both clubs in a relegation fight.

Vitor Pereira’s side controlled early possession as they tried to mute the stadium, yet Forest survived early pressure. Ibrahim Sangare blocked Mathys Tel, Richarlison headed wide, and Jesus glanced a long throw against his own woodwork.

A penalty shout was waved away when Pepe Matar Sarr went down under Ola Aina, and Omari Hutchinson’s effort at Guglielmo Vicario was Forest’s clearest moment. On the stroke of half-time, Vicario tipped over an acrobatic swipe from Jesus, then he headed in from the resulting corner.

Matz Sels preserved the lead with a fine stop from Tel, then VAR checked and cleared Neco Williams' challenge on Cristian Romero.

After the break Williams headed Elliot Anderson’s cross straight at Vicario, but in the 62nd minute Gibbs-White buried Callum Hudson-Odoi’s pull-back. With 15 minutes left Lucas Bergvall missed a golden chance, Sangare denied Sarr, and Awoniyi poked in a Williams cross to seal it.

Nikola Milenkovic and Williams earned 8.5, with Murillo on 8. Sels, Anderson, Gibbs-White, Jesus and Awoniyi received 7.5. Aina was given 5, Hutchinson 6.5, Hudson-Odoi and Sangare 7, while captain Ryan Yates was rated 7 and late subs Dan Ndoye 6.5, Nicolas Dominguez and James McAtee 6.
