After three years on loan at VfB Stuttgart, Alexander Nübel could return to Bayern Munich this summer to compete with Jonas Urbig for the No. one role if Manuel Neuer retires, Kicker reports.
Urbig, 22, remains the leading candidate to succeed Neuer, having already made 14 appearances for Bayern this season.

Nübel is under contract with the German champions until the summer of 2030.
He recently won his third cap for Germany in a 2-1 victory over Ghana on Monday.
His future remains uncertain.
