No fewer than nine members of the first-team ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona have on Friday been afforded international call-ups.
This of course comes ahead of the upcoming October international break.
Beginning at home in Spain, five members of Hansi Flick’s squad have been selected by La Roja boss Luis de la Fuente.
The quintet consists of Pau Cubarsí, Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres and Pedri:
Elsewhere, Frenkie de Jong has been called up by ex-Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman to link up with the Dutch national team ranks.
Blaugrana summer signing Marcus Rashford, in the midst of a thoroughly productive recent spell of form, has been included in Thomas Tuchel’s England setup.
Fellow Barca summer arrival Roony Bardghji is also afforded a place in the Swedish senior national team squad.
And last up comes Marc Bernal, who, despite having only recently returned from a long-term spell on the sidelines, has been named in the Spanish U21 setup.
