FC Barcelona are now set to take on their latest opponents in La Liga in the form of UD Las Palmas. After having reclaimed their top spot in the Spanish First Division, this is now the first challenge that La Blaugrana will face when it comes to defending their lead.
A win is the only outcome here that Barcelona will appreciate, and that is what the team will be aiming for. With their UEFA Champions League opponents now revealed as well, the Catalan giants can move forward with more certainty in each game.
Currently, Las Palmas sit at 17th place in the La Liga table. However, despite their low position in the league table, Barcelona are more than aware of the threat they pose. Even last time out, it was Las Palmas who came out on top and managed to beat Barcelona at the Montjuic Stadium.
Now, ahead of the game itself, Barcelona have officially announced the squad that will be travelling for this fixture. In terms of notable absentees, the long-term injuries of both Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Marc Bernal keep the duo out of action right now, and Andreas Christensen also seems to need more time.
However, Ansu Fati has once again been completely excluded from the squad list despite being fit and having been included in the previous squad list, but Fermin Lopez makes his comeback after missing the last game due to a suspension.
