Barcelona will enter the market in the summer to sign a left-winger and have identified several players as potential targets already.
One of the main targets for the Blaugrana to reinforce the position happens to be Liverpool and Colombia winger Luis Diaz.
The 28-year-old’s contract with Liverpool runs out in 2027 and his modest wages make him an appealing target for the Catalan giants.
Now, reports in Colombia, as relayed by AS, claim that representatives have already reached out to Barcelona to explore the feasibility of a transfer in the summer.
As reported previously, Diaz is said to ‘dream’ of playing for Barça and it appears that his entourage has taken a step forward and contacted the Catalans to test the waters and assess the possibility of a move happening in the summer.

Diaz, for his part, has not shown any indication of wanting to renew his contract at Liverpool. This, coupled with his entourage reaching out to Barcelona, opens the door for a possible transfer.
Barcelona’s salary cap has been set at €463.6 million, marking a €37 million increase from the summer. Crucially, this figure places them within the 1:1 Fair Play rule, a major step forward after prolonged struggles to regain financial flexibility.
With this improved financial position, Barcelona’s technical department is actively exploring the market and Diaz is a player who has long been admired by Deco.
The Barça director sees the 28-year-old winger as a perfect fit, and financially, the numbers align as well. The possibility of a high-profile signing is now firmly on the table.
