Jean-Clair Todibo (25) has completed a permanent move to West Ham United, OGC Nice confirmed on Friday.
The France international left Nice to join West Ham on an initial loan deal at the start of the 2024/25 campaign. That loan deal included an obligation to make the move permanent for a fee of €39m. The clause was valid so long as West Ham secured their top-flight status, as they did, with the three promoted sides making the drop straight back down to the EFL Champions. With the season over, that clause has been activated and his move to the London Stadium has been made permanent.
In his first season for the Hammers, Todibo made 27 appearances in the Premier League, 21 of which came as starts. The Frenchman did, however, have to contend with injury in his first season in England. Todibo’s time at Le Gym is, therefore, officially over. He played 136 times for the club following his move from Barcelona in 2021.
