Official: Two in as Barcelona name squad to face Benfica | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Tuesday unveiled the club’s travelling squad set to take on Benfica.

And it features a pair of noteworthy inclusions.

Barcelona are of course set to return to action on Wednesday night. Turning attentions back towards matters on the continent, the Blaugrana will make the trip to Lisbon, for a Champions League showdown with the aforementioned Benfica.

Fresh off a dominant victory over Real Sociedad in La Liga at the weekend, Hansi Flick’s troops will head into the matchup with confidence high in the camp.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday afternoon, the group of players called upon to get the job done at the Estádio da Luz has been revealed.

The headline inclusion comes in the form of that of Gavi, who had been labelled a major doubt for the clash owing to a bout of illness over recent days.

And joining the midfielder in the travelling party is fellow countryman Ansu Fati, who has of course been in and out of Hansi Flick’s squads of late.
