With Zakaria Aboukhlal already leaving the club, it has been a difficult summer window for Toulouse FC, who have now lost their club captain, Vincent Sierro (29), the club has confirmed.

The Swiss international joined Toulouse back in 2023. He very quickly established himself at the club, being named club captain. He went on to make 90 appearances for the club, scoring 12 goals and registering seven assists during that time.

However, like many clubs, Le TéFéCé have to raise funds this summer. Sierro has been the subject of interest throughout the window, and it was amid doubts around his future that he was left out of Toulouse’s opening day win over OGC Nice (1-0).

His departure has been quickly concluded in the wake of that victory. Sierro leaves the club to join Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia. He has signed a two-year deal with the Gulf State club in a deal worth €3m.
