After Jude Bellingham, the final ranking of his Real Madrid teammate Vinicius Jr. in the 2025 Ballon d’Or rankings has now been revealed.
The Brazilian international was the runner-up at the gala last year, missing out on the ultimate honour to Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri.
This time around, the 24-year-old Real Madrid superstar has finished in the 16th place, after enduring a rather subpar campaign compared to the 2023/24 season.
Vinicius won the FIFA Intercontinental Cup and the UEFA Super Cup with Real Madrid last season, but no major trophies came his or the team’s way.
So, even though he chalked up a return of 22 goals and 19 assists for club alone, a top-ten finish was always unlikely.
Things have not started all too well for the Brazilian attacker in the ongoing season, and he will be hoping to bounce back strongly in the weeks to come.
With the rankings for Bellingham and Vinicius revealed, the only Real Madrid player whose final position is yet to be learned is Kylian Mbappe.
Meanwhile, Thibaut Courtois is in contention for the Yachine Trophy and could bring home some silverware, although Real Madrid have once again opted to boycott the gala.
