One Real Madrid star has left coaching staff ‘amazed’ with pre-season form | OneFootball

The coaching staff at La Liga giants Real Madrid have been left taken aback by the excellence of a member of the club’s midfield ranks in pre-season training.

That’s according to journalist Rubén Martín of Diario AS, who points towards Arda Güler as the player in question.

Youngster Güler is for his part currently in the midst of preparations for what is expected to be a major uptick in prominence in Spain’s capital this coming season.

After struggling for regular starts under the watch of Carlo Ancelotti over the last two years, the Turk has since gained the full confidence of new manager Xabi Alonso.

As much was made clear during this summer’s Club World Cup, when Güler acted as a pillar in Real Madrid’s midfield.

And as alluded to above, the significance of his improved role has evidently not been lost on the 20-year-old himself.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of Rubén Martín that:

‘Arda’s work during the holidays has been tremendous. In the first pre-season training sessions, his physical level has been quickly noticeable. The coaching staff is amazed by his attitude. He is one of the players who have stood out the most upon returning to work.’
