Palace looking to sign Evann Guessand on loan

Crystal Palace are in talks to sign Evann Guessand on loan from Aston Villa until the end of the season according to reports.

The Eagles are already set to break their own transfer window to sign Strand Larsen from Wolverhampton Wanderers and may continue to reinforce up front with the signing of Guessand.

Villa signed Guessand from French side Nice in the summer for a reported fee of £30 million. However, the 24-year-old may now be at Selhurst Park until the end of the season according to journalist David Ornstein of The Athletic.

Both clubs are said to be in talks and should both players sign for Palace then it will likely fuel speculation of Jean-Philippe Mateta's potential exit from the club.

Guessand has played 21 games for Villa in all competitions this season, scoring twice with both goals coming in the Europa League.
