Allianz Parque is nearing the end of its run as Palmeiras’ stadium name, after Nubank secured naming rights in a deal with WTorre. The final home game under the current branding is against Santos on Saturday at 18:30 Brasília time.

According to Globo.com, more than 40,000 tickets have already been sold and the remainder should sell out by the weekend.

The occasion also matters in the league, with Palmeiras on 32 points, six clear of Flamengo, who have a game in hand.

The club has not planned an official send-off. Under a surface deed, WTorre controls the stadium’s marketing rights until 2044, and Palmeiras were not involved in the negotiations.

Fan voting on the new name runs until 30 April, with the winner to be announced four days later. The options are Nubank Parque, Parque Nubank and Nubank Arena.

The stadium’s visual identity will change in stages once the name is confirmed, and the expectation is for completion by the return of national competitions after the World Cup.

Before the derby, Abel Ferreira’s side visit Cerro Porteño in Asunción in the Libertadores on Wednesday, with kick-off at 21:30.
