Palmeiras to face São Paulo in Campeonato Paulista semi-final

Palmeiras will face São Paulo in the Campeonato Paulista semi-final next weekend, with date and kick-off to be confirmed by the Federação Paulista de Futebol.

According to Nosso Palestra, the pairing was set on Sunday 22 February after the completion of the quarter-finals.

The other semi-final pits Novorizontino against Corinthians. The federation’s rules state the semis are single-leg ties, with the best overall campaign meeting the fourth, and second playing third, using points from the first phase and the quarters.

Palmeiras secured their place on Saturday 21 February with a 4-0 win over Capivariano at Arena Barueri.

Vitor Roque struck twice, with Andreas Pereira and Sosa also on the scoresheet. The match is scheduled between 28 February and the first of March.
