Fiorentina is reportedly on the verge of completing the deal to appoint Paolo Vanoli as their new head coach, following the recent sacking of Stefano Pioli.
According to FirenzeViola, the club has decided to move decisively for Vanoli, the former Torino man, who is now “very close to returning to Florence” as a manager.
The report states that barring any sensational last-minute developments, Vanoli will “take the place of the sacked Stefano Pioli.”
The agreement is described as being “one step away,” with the terms expected to be for a year-and-a-half contract. The club is working to finalize the details as quickly as possible, with the possibility of Vanoli being on the bench for the upcoming match against Genoa.
Raffaele Palladino has also been linked with a return months after his initial exit. But it seems like Vanoli is the key choice and talks are being held, with Roberto Mancini dismissed as an option.
