Paquetá registered and could debut for Flamengo on Sunday against Corinthians | OneFootball

Paquetá has been cleared to play for Flamengo in Sunday’s Supercopa do Brasil final against Corinthians in Brasília and could make his debut at Mané Garrincha.

According to Globo.com, the midfielder was added to the CBF’s BID on Friday and is available to Filipe Luís for the 16:00 kick-off, Brasília time.

The 42 million euro signing, the most expensive in Brazilian football history, arrived in Rio on Thursday and trained at Ninho do Urubu on Friday. He has signed a contract until December 2030.

He is expected to be presented on Saturday and to travel with the squad to the capital.

His situation echoes Danilo’s last year. The defender was announced on 29 January and featured late on in the 2025 Supercopa against Botafogo on 2 February.

Paquetá has not played since 6 January, when West Ham lost 2-1 to Nottingham Forest. He later reported back pain, missed matches and asked not to play again until the Flamengo move was resolved. This season he has 19 appearances, five goals and one assist.
