Paraguay call up Palmeiras trio for the World Cup

Paraguay coach Gustavo Alfaro has named Palmeiras trio Gustavo Gómez, Maurício and Ramón Sosa in his World Cup squad, according to Nosso Palestra. The tournament will be played in June and July in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

The squad was announced on Monday and contains 26 players.

Uruguay are in Group D alongside the United States, Australia and Türkiye.

Palmeiras will have seven players called up for the tournament.

Beyond the Paraguay trio, Jhon Arias has been selected by Colombia, Flaco López by Argentina, and Piquerez and Martínez by Uruguay.
