Injury blow to Desire Doue deepens attacking shortage as Dembele fitness remains uncertain

Paris Saint Germain injury update: Desire Doue ruled out for 8 weeks, Enrique faces attacking crisis ahead of Nice clash
Paris Saint Germain coach Luis Enrique faces fresh selection headache ahead of Saturday’s Ligue 1 meeting with OGC Nice.
According to L’Equipe promising winger Desire Doue suffered left thigh tear during the 1-1 draw with Lorient on Wednesday ruling him out for at least 8 weeks.
His return before the end of 2025 would be surprise, the French outlet reported.
🚨⚠️ Désiré Doué suffers serious muscle injury and will be assessed by PSG staff. Get well soon! 🤜🏽🤛🏽–
PSG plan to send the 20 year old to Doha for treatment under the same rehabilitation program that aided Ousmane Dembele’s recovery earlier this year.
The injury will sideline Doue for 3 Champions League match forcing Enrique to reshuffle his attacking setup.
Enrique's attacking options are rapidly dwindling with Doue sidelined doubts surrounding Dembele's fitness and young Ibrahim Mbaye failing to impress the coach while Goncalo Ramos remains out of contention.
L'Équipe added that Dembele's place in the starting lineup against Nice uncertain after his lackluster performance against Lorient .. evidence that he's yet to fully recover from his injury sustained in Sep while international duty with France.
Dembele missed 6 week with thigh issue sustained in France’s World Cup 2026 qualifier versus Ukraine.
He returned as substitute against Bayer Leverkusen & Brest before starting against Lorient but was withdrawn in 2nd half.
Despite the setbacks.. PSG top the Ligue 1 standings with 21 point just 1 ahead of Monaco (20) & 2 clear of chasing pack that includes Marseille, Strasbourg, Lyon & Lens (19).
