Leeds United will be without Pascal Struijk for Tuesday night’s trip to Chelsea after the centre-back sustained a hip flexor problem.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke said Struijk finished the 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest carrying the issue and will miss Stamford Bridge. He added that Anton Stach, out with a hip problem, is probably back for the Aston Villa game.

Ilia Gruev and Dominic Calvert-Lewin should both be available despite a facial injury and illness respectively. Farke said he hopes Calvert-Lewin’s illness is not too bad and that he will be available.

Dan James returned from a hamstring injury against Forest. Facundo Buonanotte was omitted from the squad as a selection choice.

Jaka Bijol and Lukas Nmecha were back from injury and named among the substitutes but went unused. Farke explained that Bijol had only three training days after nearly three weeks out and he preferred not to change at centre-back.

He said Nmecha had just two sessions, looked sharp, but with Leeds ahead he did not want to take risks. Farke kept Calvert-Lewin on to help defend crosses late on and noted that, aside from the issues above, he hopes to have everyone else available.
