Cristian Pavon has completed one year without scoring for Grêmio. His last goals came on 11 February 2025 in a 5-0 win over Pelotas, since then he has played 44 matches without finding the net.

That 2025 season was his longest run for the club, featuring 45 appearances and 23 starts, and he finished with three goals, two against Pelotas and one versus Caxias. According to Globo.com, the Argentine is again seeking a reset at the club.

Despite the drought, he supplied 10 assists in 2025, including two in a 4-0 win over Sport on the final day of the Brasileirão.

This year he has five outings and no decisive contributions after a right knee ligament injury. He played 34 minutes in the Gauchão opener, a 4-0 win over Avenida, then returned against Fluminense in the Brasileirão. He later started the 5-3 win over Botafogo under Luís Castro, but was withdrawn at half-time for Amuzu.

He is pushing to regain his place. With a deal to the end of 2026, this season could be his last chance to leave a mark. Another opportunity may arrive on Sunday against Juventude in the Gauchão semi-final, and with Amuzu sidelined he is in contention to start.
