Substitute Koopmeiners, on since the hour mark, salvaged the draw in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time, drilling into the bottom left corner from range after a pass by Owusu-Oduro.

AZ carried the greater threat with 18 attempts and 58.4% possession. FC Twente mustered nine attempts and defended stoutly with 37 clearances.
