Móglaí Bap of Kneecap posed in the new Celtic home shirt just days after the group’s Glastonbury set. It was a widely publicised issue with politicians and talking heads weighing in on whether the Irish trio should be allowed to play at a festival, with the Glastonbury organisers standing firm despite incredible pressure.
Along with Mo Chara and DJ Próvaí, Móglaí Bap put on an incredible performance at the iconic festival, which was available live via a festival goer TikTok and later on BBC iPlayer. There were a number of Celtic shirts in the crowd. The aftermath of their gig is still being felt with world events relegated in the pecking order.
Posted on the band’s Instagram story, Kneecap shared the photo of Móglaí Bap in the new Celtic Hoops, designed by Adidas.
Kneecap have come under fire for their outspoken stance on Palestine. Despite this, they have stood firm and are continuing to use their platform to promote social justice.
The reception for this kit has been good unlike the mixed response for the new off white third kit.
