Lazio (4-2-3-1)

Ivan Provedel – 6.5

The Italian goalkeeper produced a host of saves to keep a well-deserved clean sheet, but almost blew it with a poor exit late in the game.

Adam Marusic – 6.5

The Montenegrin was solid at the back, and then managed to provide the equalizer for Castellanos on the second half with a clever square ball. Unfortunately, he hurt himself in the process and was forced to leave at the half-hour mark.

Mario Gila – 7

A top-notch display at the back from the Spaniard who didn’t allow anyone or anything to get through.

Alessio Romagnoli – 6.5

A confident performance from the former Milan captain who, aside from a few scares, managed to minimize Lorenzo Colombo’s danger.

Luca Pellegrini – 6.5

An impressive outing from the Italian, who is much more composed than Nuno Tavares in defence. Delivered the set piece that culminated in Lazio’s third goal, but his evening ended when he pulled a muscle while making a tackle.

Danilo Cataldi – 7

The Lazio youth product doesn’t possess Rovella’s touch or Guendouzi’s drive, but he still bossed the middle of the park, making good use of his well-rounded game.

Toma Basic – 6

Not a bad performance for a player who hasn’t played a competitive match in more than a year, but didn’t truly stand out, as he seemed happy to do the dirty work.

Matteo Cancellieri – 7.5

The Italian winger opened the scoring with a clinical finish after starting the play himself. He was then denied by the post in the second half, but his outing was slightly blemished by the golden opportunity he squandered in the second half.

Boulaye Dia – 6.5

The Senegalese worked extremely hard for the team while operating as an attacking midfielder. Drew fouls from Genoa players which resulted in two yellow cards, and his pressure allowed Zaccagni to score the third.

Mattia Zaccagni – 7

While it wasn’t his most influential performance, the Lazio captain still ran his socks off, and eventually got his name on the scoresheet.

Taty Castellanos – 8

A superb outing from the Argentine who set up Cancellieri’s opener with a sublime through ball, and should have gotten another assist if it wasn’t for the Italian missing a sitter. The striker also launched the counterattack that resulted in the second goal, which he scored himself.
