Only two months remain before the 2025/2026 EPL season ends and the pressure on players has never been higher. With coaches wanting 100% each game, it's not surprising that many players have gotten injuries. For fans who enjoy following matches alongside online entertainment options like a Crypto Casino, staying updated on player fitness is just as important as match results.
This guide aims to check out the injuries affecting the top six teams. We won't only talk about each club's injury situation. We'll get you up to speed with the recovery timeline of each player. Keep reading for more information.
William Saliba got an ankle injury in a high-stakes match against the Blues (AKA Chelsea). Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta, said in an interview that the injury wasn't something serious. And per some reports, the big defender will be back in the squad that faces Everton in the second week of March.
William isn't the only one affected by injury. Martin Odegaard, who is the team's skipper, has had a long knee issue that resurfaced when the team played against Spurs last month. Many expected that he'd come back to play against Chelsea on March 1st. But he didn't feature in the team's squad. Martin is expected to come back to full fitness later in March.
Ben White is facing some fitness issues that have kept him out of training for some time. But word on the street is that he'll come back to the team when the international break ends.
Of all the injuries the Gunners are facing, the one affecting Merino is considered by many to be the most serious. He just went through a surgery for a fracture affecting his right foot. Just so you know, this injury took place during a match against Manchester United.
Pep Guardiola might be scratching his head when he thinks about the injuries that Manchester City has witnessed in the 2025/2026 season. Josko Gvardiol is a major one. He broke his leg back in January. And while he has gone through surgery, he'd most likely return at the beginning of the 2026/2027 season.
Nico O’Reilly isn't part of the squad for now due to an ankle injury. He'd always put in a shift in every match that he played before this injury. But he's expected to return in Manchester City’s EPL outing in the second week of March.
Max Alleyne hasn't appeared on City's team sheet for a while because of a knock that happened in the middle of February. But things are looking up for him and he'll most likely come back to the squad in the second or third week of March.
Moving on, many City faithfuls will be impressed by the fact that Mateo Kovacic will join the team this month after reports about his ankle injury getting better came to light.
John McGinn has been leading Aston Villa's fight for a top three finish this season. The knee injury that he got during a match against Everton in January has put him on the sidelines for a few weeks. McGinn has gone through surgery and is expected to be back in the starting eleven before March ends.
Youri Tielemans is another crucial player in Villa’s injury list. He sustained an ankle tear in January. Unai Emery confirmed that he'd be out for 8 to 10 weeks. As such, it's expected to get back to training and feature in games in late April.
Boubacar Kamara had an ACL-related knee injury. This makes it the most serious on this list. He has gone through surgery and isn't expected to be back to match fitness until next season.
Manchester United has been on a roll lately. One of the most important players to the club's charge in recent times is left winger Patrick Dorgu. He was on the receiving end of a hamstring strain in February. The injury was mildly serious and he's expected to come back in the middle of April.
Lisandro Martinez has also been on the Red Devils’ injury list. Licha sustained a calf injury that saw him go out of the game against Everton in February. He's already back to doing light work on the training ground. Martinez could be back into the team's lineup in the March 15th match against Aston Villa if all goes well.
Matthijs De Ligt has been facing lower back issues that affect his hamstring since late 2025. He hasn't managed to recover to full fitness and has already missed a large part of the 2025/2026 season. De Ligt is expected to be reintroduced into the squad once more in the first week of April.
Mason Mount isn't a vital piece in the Manchester United squad at the moment. But he's part of the team's injury list after experiencing a knock. He's expected to be back in the mix by mid-March.
Estêvão Willian is dealing with a hamstring injury. He missed the team's first two games in March. His injury is minor and coach Liam Rosenior doesn't have any plans of rushing him back into the squad. But Estêvão is expected to return to the team before March ends.
Dario Essugo is another name on Chelsea's injury list. He's been out since last year after he got a knock during a regular training session. He got thigh surgery in September and looks all set to return to training with his teammates.
Jamie Gittens’s injury looks worse than the ones that we've just talked about. The winger tore his hamstring during a match against West Ham in January. With Chelsea's head coach stating that he's expected to be out for a long time, no one can really put a finger on when Gittens will be back to match day fitness.
Chelsea's defence was hit badly when Levi Colwill suffered a ligament injury in the preseason. He has since gotten surgery but will likely miss the whole season. The Blues are expecting a full recovery before the new season begins.
