Coventry City host Blackburn Rovers at the Coventry Building Society Arena this Saturday as the Championship returns from the international break.
The Sky Blues top the table with 19 points after a 5-0 demolition of Sheffield Wednesday, while Blackburn sit 21st on seven points following a 1-1 draw with Stoke.
These two sides' last meeting ended 2-0 to the Sky Blues, and Frank Lampard’s side will be looking to extend their unbeaten league run to 10 matches here.
Ross Cooper (SkyBlues Extra ): The international break is over and the real football is back and, as a Coventry City fan, I can't wait for the weekend.
It has been great to see us top of the Championship over the last couple of weeks, although admittedly it is still very early days with an awfully long way to go. But the signs are very good: lots of goals, four consecutive clean sheets on the bounce, the latest coming in the 0-5 away demolition of Sheffield Wednesday.
We welcome Blackburn Rovers to the CBS Arena this Saturday in a game where the expectation will be for another entertaining display, more goals and ultimately another win and three points to keep our unbeaten start to the season going.
However, there are a few aspects to this game that make it tricky. Blackburn have got threats, are more than capable of causing teams problems and scoring goals and they will certainly ask more questions of our defence than were asked by Sheffield Wednesday.
The other aspect to this is the fact that our two most in-form players; Haji Wright and Brandon Thomas-Asante, have both been on the other side of the world during this international break so of course there is a slight worry that perhaps they may not be fully rested coming into Saturday's game.
The positive spin though is that, to our knowledge, none of our players picked up injuries whilst away, with the only thing being picked up was the man of the match award by Haji Wright after his brace for the USA. So, hopefully his outstanding form can continue.
Victor Torp and Josh Eccles were casualties and missed out featuring against Sheff Wed, so hopefully the break has allowed them to get back ready and fit to play, as well as allowing other players in our small squad a chance to rest and get ready for this next block of six games.
Prediction: 2-1
Liam (Rovers Latest): Back from the break and the football gods probably couldn't have given Rovers a harder game. Coming off the back of three winless games, confidence will be low in the camp and Ismael will need to pull something out of the bag for his side to have any chance on Saturday.
There's also a couple of unknown niggles in the squad which could hinder our chances further. Nonetheless, if Cantwell is on the pitch, Rovers always have a chance.
Prediction: 2-0
