Leeds United round off their pre-season schedule with an exciting clash against European giants AC Milan on Saturday afternoon.
Held at Dublin’s iconic Aviva Stadium, the encounter will provide Daniel Farke’s side with an important final test before the upcoming Premier League campaign gets underway.
The Whites have enjoyed four outings so far this summer, most recently drawing against La Liga outfit Villarreal CF at Elland Road last weekend.
Leeds began pre-season with a stalemate against Manchester United in Stockholm, before travelling to Germany for wins over SC Verl and SC Paderborn.
Milan, meanwhile, started their summer with a narrow defeat to Arsenal before impressing in a 4-2 win over Premier League champions Liverpool. Most recently, Max Allegri’s side cruised past Australian outfit Perth Glory with a commanding 9-0 result.
The Rossoneri will be keen for a stronger season this time round after finishing eight in Serie A last campaign, which then brought the experienced Allegri to the San Siro.
The two sides have met three times before in competitive fixtures, starting with the 1973 European Cup Winners’ Cup final.
In the 2000/01 Champions League, the Whites were victorious at Elland Road thanks to Lee Bowyer’s late winner.
In the reverse fixture, a famous goal from Dom Matteo at the San Siro saw David O'Leary’s team draw 1-1 with a star-studded Milan side that included the likes of Paolo Maldini, Gennaro Gattuso and Andriy Shevchenko.
Tickets are still available and can be purchased below. Action from the Aviva Stadium gets underway at 3pm.
