PSG shut down Atletico Madrid’s Lee Kang-in interest | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain have closed the door to a departure for Lee Kang-in (24), despite Atletico Madrid’s attempts to sign the player, according to a report from L’Équipe.

The South Korea international is under contract with PSG until 2028, and whilst he only plays a bit-part role, he has emerged as a trusted utility player under Luis Enrique. Lee wanted to leave the European champions over the summer, before the club informed him of his importance, and once again, Luis Enrique and PSG have closed the door to an exit.

PSG look to extend Lee’s contract?

That is despite intense interest from Atletico Madrid, L’Équipe understands. The publication adds that Les Parisiens may even try to extend the forward’s contract, which has two years remaining, before the end of the current season.

So far this campaign, Lee has played 21 times for Les Parisiens, scoring two goals and registering three assists.
