Milan are set to speak with Ralf Rangnick again this week to discuss a potential appointment to the Rossoneri management team, and Monday’s reports claim that the German will give his decision to the Austrian FA within the next seven to 10 days.
Rangnick is the leading candidate to take charge of the Rossoneri sporting sector following the departures of head coach Massimiliano Allegri, sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Geoffrey Moncada and CEO Giorgio Furlani the day after the 2025-26 Serie A season ended.
Rangnick is currently serving as head coach of the Austria national team and is preparing to lead the team into the 2026 World Cup, but the coach-cum-director is due to speak with Milan again before the start of the tournament in North America.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Rangnick will speak with Gerry Cardinale, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Massimo Calvelli this week, perhaps as early as Tuesday, following the friendly between Austria and Tunisia that is being played on Monday evening.
Rangnick is also due to discuss his future with the Austrian FA this week, and La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that he will deliver his final decision within the next week, or 10 days at a maximum.
If Rangnick is to come in, there have been reports from multiple outlets suggesting that Oliver Glasner is his first choice for the vacant head coach role. Milan are also due to meet with the recent Conference League winner this week.
