Raniele missed training on Tuesday and is unlikely to feature for Corinthians against Remo on Thursday after a fall left him with knee and ankle issues.

According to ge.globo, the 29-year-old caught his foot in the newly relaid pitch at Neo Química Arena during Monday’s session and fell, grazing his right knee. On Tuesday he woke with swelling in his left ankle and remained indoors at CT Joaquim Grava for treatment.

His involvement on Thursday is improbable. Fernando Diniz is likely to pair André Luiz with Allan in midfield. He will be assessed through the week with Sunday’s trip to Bahia in mind.

Rodrigo Garro is suspended after an accumulation of yellow cards. Memphis Depay remains out, on holiday after playing at the World Cup with the Netherlands. He is expected to report back between Saturday and Monday and train with the group while his contract situation is addressed.

Thursday’s match, at 19:30 in the Neo Química Arena, marks Corinthians’ return after the World Cup break in the 19th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. They are 12th on 24 points and could climb to 7th with a win.

Depay’s deal runs until 31 July, and the club remain in talks with his representatives over a resolution.
