Raphinha converted two early penalties to put Barcelona in control against Sevilla at the Spotify Camp Nou on presidential election day. Victory would restore their four-point lead in the La Liga title race.

According to Football Espana, Hansi Flick made few changes to the side that started in Newcastle in midweek, with Lamine Yamal named on the bench.

The opener arrived inside 10 minutes when Joao Cancelo burst into the box and was halted illegally by Djibril Sow, allowing Raphinha to score from 12 yards.

10 minutes later, Barcelona were awarded another spot-kick after Cancelo’s dribble struck the arm of Jose Angel Carmona, and Raphinha duly tucked away his second.

Entrusted with both spot-kicks, Raphinha did not err. The Brazilian has been short of goals lately, these were only his fourth and fifth in his last 12 appearances, and the brace will give him confidence to add to his tally before full time.
