Real Madrid are preparing for what could be one of their most decisive transfer windows in recent years.

After a period of inconsistency, the club is determined to avoid repeating past mistakes and is now ready to make bold moves to reshape the squad.

According to a report from Defensa Central, Real Madrid plan to generate up to €150 million through player sales in the upcoming summer window.

Interestingly, the outlet assures that Real Madrid are planning to delay any major sales until after the World Cup, with the belief that player values could rise depending on performances during the tournament.

In that regard, up to four significant exits are expected to form the backbone of this €150 million target.

Why such a move?

It is known that Real Madrid are working on strengthening key areas of the squad.

In fact, the priority positions have already been identified – a centre-back and a creative midfielder.

In addition, there is also a keen focus on bringing back academy players who have impressed away from the Santiago Bernabeu this season.

To fund these moves, Real Madrid are prepared to part ways with players who still hold strong market value but are no longer considered essential to the project.

Who will be on the market?

The restructuring does not stop there, as Real Madrid may choose not to renew the contracts of experienced figures like Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, and David Alaba.

Meanwhile, players such as Ferland Mendy, Fran Garcia, and Dani Ceballos are reportedly not part of the long-term plans and could also be moved on.

If these plans materialise, Real Madrid could see as many as eight or nine players leave the club in a single window.

If that is achieved, Real Madrid will focus on a strong rebuild under potentially a new manager.
