While the team remains competitive, the technical staff and club directors believe certain areas of the pitch require fresh solutions to maintain the club’s high standards.

Reports suggest that Real Madrid are currently planning to reinforce six different positions during the next transfer window.

What is needed?

The positions identified by the club include a centre-back, a full-back, two midfielders, a winger, and a centre-forward.

Much of the focus appears to be on improving both the defensive line and the midfield, where depth and long-term stability are considered essential.

In order to do that, Real Madrid are planning for the return of two promising young players who are currently gaining experience away from the club.

One of them is Nico Paz, who is currently playing at Como. The attacking midfielder has been developing well during his time in Italy, and the club sees him as part of their future plans.

The other player expected to join the first-team squad next season is Endrick. The young striker is currently gaining experience at Lyon, and Real Madrid intend for him to return and become part of the squad for the 2026/27 campaign.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid scouts have also been actively monitoring new potential signings.

Who are those?

It is said that club president Florentino Perez has given the green light for the scouting department to follow two specific players closely.

One of them is Kees Smit, the talented midfielder currently playing for AZ Alkmaar, and the other is Nico Schlotterbeck, the centre-back who plays for Borussia Dortmund.

However, the transfer window will not only bring new faces to Madrid, as the future of several experienced players at the club also remains uncertain.

Three defenders in particular have contracts that expire at the end of the season, namely, Antonio Rudiger, Dani Carvajal, and David Alaba and the three continue to face uncertainty regarding a new deal.

Overall, the upcoming transfer window could bring both major arrivals and important departures, as Real Madrid prepare to refresh the squad.
