A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is growing increasingly worried by his situation at the club.

That’s according to The Athletic, who point towards Vinícius Jr. as the player in question.

The name of wide-man Vinícius has of course positioned itself front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital once more over the last 48 hours.

As much comes after the Brazilian was again hooked from proceedings in Real Madrid’s latest outing prematurely.

En route to a 2-0 victory over Espanyol over the weekend, Vinícius was hauled off during the 2nd-half, replaced by fellow countryman Rodrygo.

The 25-year-old could not hide his disappointment with as much, looking less than amused in making his way straight down the tunnel at the Santiago Bernabéu.

This comes amid what has been a somewhat hit-and-miss opening to the term for Vinícius.

And as alluded to above, 24 hours on, an insight into the current viewpoint of the attacker and those closest to him has been provided.

As per a report from The Athletic:

‘Sources close to Vinicius Jr. said the scenario reminds them of when Zinedine Zidane was in charge at Madrid, as the Frenchman did not have as much confidence in him as Santiago Solari or Carlo Ancelotti would show.’
