Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. has openly admitted that 2025 was far from ideal, both for the team and on a personal level.
Speaking candidly to El Chiringuito TV about what went through the year, the Brazilian star acknowledged the struggles but insisted both he and the club will bounce back stronger.
“This wasn’t a good year, but we have no doubts that we will be back, that we will win again,” he admitted.
When asked what he hopes for in 2026, he offered a straightforward answer,
“What do I want in 2026? Health, calmness, and a lot of titles for Real Madrid.
“Hala Madrid, always!”
For a club of Real Madrid’s stature, 2025 turned out to be unusually barren in terms of major trophies.
After an exciting 2023/24 season that saw Madrid lift both La Liga and the Champions League, this year brought frustration.
Despite glimpses of promise, the team failed to secure a major domestic or European title, leaving Los Blancos without silverware.

That drought intensified pressure on the squad, feeding into both fan expectations and internal scrutiny.
Vinicius’s relationship with Xabi Alonso and the Real Madrid fans has been under the spotlight throughout the year.
Earlier reports suggested the forward has been dissatisfied with his role and inconsistent starts under Alonso.
In fact, according to multiple outlets, Vinicius has even halted contract renewal talks because of unresolved issues with the coach.
Furthermore, frustration hasn’t just stayed inside the training ground walls. On several occasions this year, sections of the Santiago Bernabeu crowd have expressed displeasure with Vinicius’s performances and influence on games.
He was booed by supporters as patience began to wear thin among fans demanding more decisive contributions.
Despite all that, Vinicius has kept his patience, having left behind all the troubles he had with the manager.
