Real Madrid face off against Villarreal in a massive clash later today at the Estadio de la Ceramica and will do so without Aurelien Tchouameni.
The Frenchman’s absence comes as a massive blow for Los Blancos, who are already thin on options at centre-back.
Given that the Frenchman is often used as the team’s backup option in that regard, his absence will make the game all the more difficult.
Concurrently, however, Alvaro Arbeloa can breathe a sigh of relief over the attacking department as Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo Goes, and Kylian Mbappe are all available with even Brahim Diaz returning to the mix after the AFCON.
Just as Tchouameni misses tonight’s clash owing to an accumulation of bookings, one Real Madrid star is on the verge of facing suspension and will miss the team’s next game should he be booked tonight.

That player is none other than Vinicius Jr., for he is already on four yellow cards. Any booking later tonight and the player will not be available for the team’s game against Rayo Vallecano.
Vinicius enjoyed his best performance of the season against AS Monaco midweek and will look to continue to ride on that momentum when he takes to the field later today.
Needless to say, a suspension at this point in time could well serve as a blow to a player who is just beginning to recover his long-lost form.
So far this season, the Brazilian international has played 20 league games for Real Madrid and has five goals and six assists for the team in that duration.
He racked up a goal and two assists midweek against Monaco and will look to continue his run of form tonight.
