Real Madrid 'to try to sign' Pedri in 2027 | OneFootball

Real Madrid are considering a sensational move for Barcelona midfielder Pedri, with internal talks said to be under way. El Desmarque reports that Florentino Perez views the 23-year-old as a dream signing, with a push targeted for summer 2027.

Midfield remains a priority after Toni Kroos retired in 2024, and Madrid have been linked with Rodri Hernandez and Vitinha among others. Such a move would strengthen Madrid and significantly weaken Barcelona.

Pedri is currently unavailable for Barcelona due to a hamstring injury.

His contract has four years to run and includes a €1bn release clause, leaving Barcelona relaxed about an approach.

Barcelona insist the playmaker is not on the market at any price, so any deal would require the clause to be met, which is considered a non-starter. Even so, Perez continues to dream of a seismic transfer.
