It was a difficult press conference for Liam Rosenior today, who had to discuss the comments made in the international break by Marc Cucurella and Enzo Fernandez.

But there was at least some good news too – he had pretty positive injury news across the board.

He started off by answering questions about Reece James.

James not back but others getting close

“[James] is getting along really well, but is not ready yet. Trevoh’s progressing really, really well as well. Levi, it’s really good to have him back in full training, but it’s going to take a few more weeks. He needs to tick those boxes.

“But no, we’ve got a pretty fresh group. Estevao, Jamie Gittens is back, which is really positive going into the run.”

That’s superb news – two wingers ready to add to the attack for this weekend, then it sounds like James and Chalobah back to strengthen the defence in a week or two.

Levi Colwill will be treated more carefully given the serious injury he’s coming back from, but it’s great to know he’s in full training and should get an appearance before the end of the season.

In other news…

Rosenior had said he was disappointed by what Marc Cucurella said but chose not to punish him.

Meanwhile Enzo will miss two games for the Blues after speaking about wanting to leave the club.
