Record Newcastle United revenues have now been officially revealed.

Eddie Howe has been key to propelling the club to success off the pitch.

The United Head Coach’s brilliance has turned a squad heading to the Championship, to a trophy winning Champions League competing one.

That turnaround on the pitch helping to bring these record Newcastle United revenues to the club.

The true extent of this has been revealed by the outgoing Newcastle United CEO.

Darren Eales declaring:

“In terms of revenue, we have gone from £140m in 2021 to the coming season (2025/26). because we are in the Champions League, it is going to be well north of £400m.”

The Newcastle United turnover comes from three sources – Commercial revenue, Matchday revenue and TV/media revenue. The turnover figures don’t include money from selling players.

This is the six year story of Newcastle United revenues:

£140.2m turnover for the 2020/21 season.

£180.0m turnover for the 2021/22 season.

£250.3m turnover for the 2022/23 season.

£320.3m turnover for the 2023/24 season.

£???m turnover for the 2024/25 season.

£400m+ turnover for the 2025/26 season.

The financial year covering the 2024/25 season had a year end of 30 June 2025. We won’t know those figures for a while yet, the next Deloitte football rich list featuring the clubs in world football with the highest turnovers/revenues, usually comes out each January.

The £320.3m turnover in 2023/24 was of course a Champions League season, as is the case with this current 2025/26 campaign.

Last season (2024/25) didn’t have Champions League revenues, so it remains to be seen how United did without them. Winning the Carabao Cup will have helped, both with direct cash earned from it and indirect from extra retail sales and so on, but not in the same league financially as the benefits from Champions League participation.

Ticket prices have rapidly increased, as has the number of Newcastle United members, the club increasing the supply of hospitality places as well at matches, whilst no doubt in many other areas revenues will be on the up last season and especially into this one.

So I think we will still see very healthy Newcastle United revenues for last (2024/25) season BUT then going onto a whole other level when we eventually find out the exact 2025/26 turnover.

“In terms of revenue, we have gone from £140m in 2021 to the coming season (2025/26). because we are in the Champions League, it is going to be well north of £400m.

“So that’s a compound annual growth rate of 24% which is unprecedented in world football.

“I think that we stood up the retail from scratch, thanks to the wonderful partners in Adidas.

“With Stack, we obviously had to buy the land, build it and create a community asset, not only on match days but during the week it has made a real impact.

“On the pitch two Wembley finals is amazing but the second one beating Liverpool and winning that cup, the first trophy for over 50 years was incredible.

“Thank you to Eddie Howe, the coaching staff and the players for providing some of the most intense and entertaining football I’ve seen. It’s been a privilege to work with you and watch you, week in and week out.

“Thank you to David Hopkinson for taking over the CEO role with enthusiasm.

“I look forward to watching NUFC continue its exciting upward trajectory under your stewardship.
