According to L'Équipe, Ligue 1's first referee microphone test to explain VAR decisions went largely unnoticed on Friday at PSG v Toulouse.

The 47,000 at the Parc des Princes only briefly heard referee Eric Wattelier wish captains Achraf Hakimi and Rasmus Nicolaisen a good game just before kick-off.

Thereafter, VAR was not needed, so the system was never used during play. Both sides were preparing for what comes next, the Champions League for Paris and the Coupe de France for Toulouse.

Another test will have to wait, as none of the eight other matches in the 28th matchday are set to use the device.

PSG won 3-1.
