Chelsea are one of four clubs said to be interested in Benfica’s Greek striker Vangelis Pavlidis according to reports.
It’s set to be another busy summer at Stamford Bridge and it’s said the Blues could look to fund their moves in the market by selling as many as seven or eight players.
Chelsea face arguably the most important window under the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership, with the Blues looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker.
It’s crucial the Blues sign a striker this summer having failed to do so both last summer and in January, with the club in desperate need of an alternative to Nicolas Jackson.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with Liam Delap, who’s believed to have a release clause of £30m if Ipswich get relegated, whilst they’ve also been linked with Benjamin Sesko, but are likely to face competition from Arsenal for the 21-year-old.

However, there could be another name on Chelsea’s radar with the Blues believed to be one of four clubs interested in Benfica star Pavlidis.
Portuguese outlet Record as cited and translated by Sport Witness have reported Chelsea along with Newcastle, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are interested in the Greece International.
The report adds Chelsea are looking at the 26-year-old as competition for Nicolas Jackson, whilst Newcastle view him as a potential Alexander Isak replacement.
Pavlidis has a €100m release clause in his contract which expires in 2029, and the report adds Benfica want the clause, with both Chelsea and Newcastle unlikely to activate it.

The Greek striker scored twice at Wembley as Greece beat England 2-1 in October, and has an impressive record of 24 goals and ten assists from 46 appearances in all competitions this season.
It must be said the chances of Chelsea paying €100m for a striker this summer would appear slim, and Pavlidis only joined Benfica from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar last summer.
